Can You See All of the Possibilities?

What Is Your Personal Definition of Success?

Complete this statement?

I will know I am successful when_____________________________

How many items did you come up with?

What if I told you success is something that you define for yourself. I promise you that I have never had any person tell me the same answer to this question. Some people have similar things on their lists and never the same list and never the same outcomes.

You are your own unique you.

My book to read for April was “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor Frankl. The title in German was “A Psychologist Experiences the Concentration Camp”, written in 1946. April 2020, what a month to read that book. Locked down because of a deadly pandemic and then my State of Minnesota is the place where George Floyd is murdered by four people that are sworn to protect each and every citizen. The response to all of this is love, hate, peace, and violence with fear sprinkled on the top of it all. Each day I was reading another couple of pages from Viktor’s life in a concentration camp. His observations of human beings and their capacity to survive and thrive, even in these moments was inspiring and somewhat relevant to current world events. If you have not read this book I would highly recommend it.

My greatest take away from the book was this.
No matter what situation you are in, if you are able to build a possibility about the life you want to have after this situation is done or from this point forward, it increases your chances of thriving in the situation 100% and thus giving you purpose. The purpose of life is living into that possibility you have created and then creating another and another.

Mr. Frankl really inspired me to continue to grow and expand my coaching business. That is what I do for people, I help them paint amazing possibilities and then journey with them into creating these new amazing lives. That is my possibility. To be an outstanding coach, one that is more than happy to have uncomfortable conversations, who stand up against fear and hate and questions “why not”.

I know a lot of people are wondering how my business is going. Thank you for asking. If you have been listening to my podcast “If These Heels Could Talk” with Michelle Henderson, you will have heard our journey through this pandemic as business owners and you already know how the last few months have changed our businesses and our lives. I can’t even start to go into all of that. What I can tell you is that both of our businesses are still standing and we are focused on what is possible today and far into the future. We are taking care of our clients, starting to add new clients and we have done a whole lot of pivoting. Having owned my business this long, I know you have to think this way as soon as you can. It has been a really great gift to have this type of thinking right now. I can see how this has been challenging for a lot of folks that are not used to the extreme adjustments that are necessary every day.

Now that you know what I have been up to, enough about me, how can I help you?

I would really love to hear from you.
What are you building as a possibility after this pandemic?
What are you building as a possibility after this social justice movement?

Much Love,
