Imperfection is a gift if we let it be.

Hey JoyGenea here, international neurodiversity coach working with dyslexic and ADHD thinkers.
The gift of imperfection. Today that is my different thinker motivational moment. When you are so focused on perfection you often lose your vulnerability. You lose your connection to others. You lose your humanity. You become less empathetic, less understanding. I don’t want that for you, I want you to have an amazing incredible life.
So, consider anything about yourself that you have been judging as imperfect, those things that you harass yourself internally about. Now, how much of that is already a gift? And if you can step back a little bit and say, “Well, it’s maybe not that bad and actually it’s pretty ok.” Can you turn that imperfection, that thing you were viewing and judging as an imperfection, can you turn that into a gift? Something that is actually a bonus about you. Love yourself for the beautiful and imperfect being that you are. There are so many gifts that come with being imperfect and embracing that.
I’m JoyGenea, thanks for joining me. Talking about embracing your imperfect self, I’m going to embrace it right now and take you with me. Notice, we are still in our workout shorts. Yep, and shoes! It’s not a perfect moment but it works.
