Hey, today’s Different Thinker motivational video is about being present.
So often people say, “You need to be present.” So, as a different thinker, being present requires a lot of effort at times. And so one of my reminders is: being present means not thinking about the past, not bringing up the emotions from the past, not reliving stories from the past. It also means not projecting forward, not thinking about the big goals, the dreams, the “What am I doing next?”
Being present means you take it and see everything that’s around you, and you take that in. And you take a breath, and you be here—wherever that is. The trees, the skies, the vines with the beautiful grapes in Napa Valley—but you be here.
There’s a beautiful breeze right now that I’m feeling. There’s a lovely sway of the trees that I’m seeing. That—that’s about being present. And you can do that, and you can be in the moment.
So, that’s my Different Thinker motivational moment: a reminder of being present.
I’m JoyGenea, International Neurodiversity Coach, knowing that you deserve and belong in an amazing, spectacular, wonderful life—because you’re brilliant, and you’re a different thinker, and so you’re gonna build it differently than most.
Bye now.
