Sometimes things don’t go as planned, like when your microphone won’t clip on anywhere. So, what do you do? You adapt… with a water bottle.
In this video, I share a real-time example of adaptability and remind my fellow different thinkers of our natural ability to pivot, improvise, and sometimes even lead change.
✨ Whether you’re neurodivergent or just navigating unexpected moments, this video will inspire you to laugh, lean in, and keep going, mic stand or not.

My Different Thinker Motivational Moment this week is about adaptability.
Microphone wouldn’t clip on anywhere, so this week’s adaptability is: we’re using the watering container to hold our microphone. And I think it’s actually working very well in the other videos.
This is a Different Thinker Motivational Moment though. You know what? Lots of times we have to adapt, and one thing different thinkers are great at is adapting to changes — maybe not right away — and sometimes we can even be instigators of that change.
So just remember, just a reminder to embrace that part of yourself. You are sometimes a change maker, and sometimes you just need to be adaptable in circumstances — like when you need to make the video quickly and sometimes it breaks.
I’m JoyGenea, International Neurodiversity Coach — probably needing to pick up the microphone off the floor.
Thank you. Bye now.
