This week’s Different Thinker Motivational Moment is how to send an eviction notice to the freeloading thoughts in your head. It’s really simple. As you catch them, as you recognize that you are having a consistent thought loop that really is not going anywhere—and I call that free rent because they’re not paying for that space—that space is not moving me forward. That space, that time, energy, all of that stuff that they’re taking up—they’re stealing from something else. I actually kind of consider them robbing me of my sanity, in particular.
So, the eviction notice is really simple: “Oh hey, you know what? I don’t have time for that. I’ve got a lot of other things I need to be working on. You gotta get out. There’s just no room for you in this conversation.”
So this week’s Different Thinker Motivational Moment is saying goodbye to those freeloading thoughts that really aren’t serving you and aren’t connecting to your bigger, better, brighter, amazing self.
