DTMM: Find the Humor in Your Neurodiversity

In this week’s Different Thinker Motivational Moment, I invite you to find the humor in your neurodiversity. Whether it’s a misspelled word, showing up a little late, or accidentally disrupting a conversation — it’s not wrong, it’s just different.

Instead of apologizing, learn to laugh and embrace your unique traits. Let’s flip the script on how we see our incredible, different thinking styles. Join me and celebrate what makes you you!

This week’s Different Thinker Motivational Moment is about finding the humor in your neurodiversity. One of the easiest things you can do as a different thinker is forget that your different thinking is just that—it’s just different. You or the other people in the situation decide if it’s right or wrong; it’s just different.
So, my Different Thinker Motivational Moment this week is: next time you spell a word wrong, or next time you show up maybe just a little late, or next time you distract somebody or disrupt somebody in the middle of their sentence—any of those types of traits that we have in a pile of others—if you catch yourself, let’s just laugh. Or, if nobody says anything, don’t apologize for it. Don’t always be making it right or wrong. It’s just different, and maybe we can all get comfortable with that. It’s okay.
I’m JoyGenea, international neurodiversity coach, encouraging you to flip the script on how you see your incredibly different thinking traits. Bye now.
