In this week’s Different Thinker Motivational Moment, I am challenging you to seek out conversations that push your comfort zone— in a positive way. Growth happens when our ideas, routines, and systems are gently questioned and expanded. Whether it’s about politics, your daily habits, or the tools you use, leaning into slightly uncomfortable conversations can lead to powerful breakthroughs.
If you’re a visionary or creative leader, this message is especially for you. Don’t let comfort turn into stagnation— motivate your different thinking and take it to the next level.

So for this week’s Different Thinker Motivational Moment, I really want to encourage you to have more conversations with people that make you slightly uncomfortable—in a positive way—but maybe challenging some of your thought processes, some of your beliefs, some of your systems even a little bit. Because that is where growth happens. And as a coach, I’m always going to be encouraging you to be slightly uncomfortable, to be growing. Because if we’re comfortable, we’re stuck typically. And if we’re really comfortable, we’re working to just keep that comfort and to stay in that spot. And that’s not where growth is. And that is not the best use of a highly creative, highly visionary type of person. That’s where they get stagnant. That’s where they turn those strengths on themselves.
So my Different Thinker Motivational Moment this week is all about being slightly uncomfortable and having those slightly uncomfortable conversations—maybe about politics, maybe about your routines, maybe about your schedule, maybe about the software that you’re using—those types of things. Because you are a leader that is growing. Because guess what? Your entire workforce is growing too. So you need to take your different thinking and you need to motivate it up a level.
I’m JoyGenea, international neurodiversity coach, championing you on and encouraging you to get slightly uncomfortable with your conversations.
Bye now.
