In today’s Different Thinker Motivational Moment, let’s talk about passion for improvement. You might not realize this, but one thing that a whole lot of people who are neurodiverse see, feel, and do is improve systems and processes—so much so that you’ll just see it all the time. As much as you might think we love everything to stay the same, we also like things to change for the better. It’s a passion for improvement. It really doesn’t get labeled enough, but that’s what it really is— it’s a passion for improvement.
And I’m talking about improvements in systems, improvements in ourselves, and improvement in life in general for everyone. I promise you, this is why we start so many businesses that are highly profitable and successful. It is why we are inventors, scientists, and explorers. It is that deep passion that we have for improving things.
So, guess what? Don’t try and hide or disguise your passion for improvement. It might just be in your DNA. It is possibly your fire, and you cannot put it out.
So, I’m encouraging you—figure out what you’re passionate about improving and go improve upon it. Go start doing some of it. Don’t wait for permission to change the world. Start today. Embrace your unique strengths, find your voice, and let your passion ignite you and ignite the people around you.
Go make some change happen. Be the change you wish to see in the world. Start with yourself and make that happen, because no matter what, you’re going to be part of change anyway.
