The Perfect Drinking Water System can get you on track!

Hi, I’m JoyGenea, International Neurodiversity Coach, and today I am actually talking about something that applies to neurotypical, neuro-anybody because it applies to everybody if you are breathing and human, it applies to you. So, it is about drinking water. Water. Because typically it is not uncommon when I am working with clients that one of their goals is, ‘I want to drink more water.’ Particularly after I point out to them that if you are neurodiverse and you are not drinking enough water, and your brain is made up of mostly water, it’s part of the reason it’s having a really hard time making those connections and helping you out. It is helping the neurodiversity be more extreme. So, water consumption– highly valuable. Learned that early on, always make it a big priority, but building it into a habit took a ridiculously long time, until I learned what I call and have trademarked, the Perfect Drinking Water System.
I have a little quiz for that actually on my website. I highly recommend you take it. It is about figuring out how you best will drink water and consume it and not even realize that you’ve done it and before you know it, you have reached your goal for the day, and you’re always staying hydrated. What it involves is having the right container. Not just any container, you need to figure out for you what is the right type of container how does it need to be carried, how does it need to be opened, like there are a bunch of micro-choices that you make about everything and that– if you don’t like the micro-choice options, you wont move past that question to the next one. This applies to a lot of things in life. In particular, I promise you it applies to this one. So, the container then it’s about the type of water. I know you’re like, “There are different types of water?” Well of course there are. There’s flavored water, there’s cold water, there’s room temperature water, there’s hot water, there’s ice in your water, not ice in your water, there’s bubbly in your water, not bubbly in your water. I have just named a few. We’re talking about water so I am not including soda, or pop, how you’d like to say that I don’t know it depends on the part of the country you are in, or which country you’re in I’ve learned. I call it soda.
And, the third item on there was the location of the containers. That means where they are placed. If you’re sitting at your desk, there needs to be particular water containers you use best at your desk. If you’re in the car traveling all the time, you want travel water containers. Be thinking about where those containers need to be so you can grab them throughout the day, they’re ready to go and you will make it happen. I promise you, you can increase your daily water intake by working on and perfecting those three things. The container, the type of water, and the location of the containers.
