Stepping away from the day-to-day can create breakthroughs you can’t get any other way. At my Focus Refresh Retreat, one executive– on the waitlist for years– came in with the goal of pivoting his entire 150-person company into a new market. A few days of unplugging, handing over his phone, and focusing deeply have sparked powerful ideas and unstoppable momentum.
This is the difference between knowing you need time to reset and actually doing it. When you give yourself space, clarity and creativity follow.

Hey, so I’ve stepped away from the retreat. This is actually where we are um exclusively. I’m not giving exact locations, just to kind of tell you, and share with you a little bit of the secrets that have been happening.
One of the executives that’s here this is his first time– he’s actually been on a waiting list for a couple of years to be able to do this, for it to work in his schedule and timing-wise, and he came with the project of actually completely shifting his business. Like he started out with one project when he first asked to be on, and to come to one of these and then now that it’s his time that’s changed a lot, ’cause business right now is changing a lot quickly, and so when he arrived he explained what his goal was and what he was gonna focus on it was really actually pivoting the entire company. I’m talking over 150 employees, pivoting them entirely into a new market, um to, just to reinvigorate the company to generate more revenue like all of the things basically to to work them through what’s kind of going on in the market right now, and he, we’re a couple days in. He is so excited, so there’s a difference, and I want to remind you of this, there’s a difference as a different thinker, someone who might have ADHD, dyslexia, or not, but there’s a difference between learning and doing, and so you can know you need a break. You can know you need some focus time. You can know you need these things, but I promise you right now, if I put him on camera, you’d be like, ‘oh my gosh,’ the difference is he’s actually handed me a cell phone every morning, and he has just worked on this, and the ideas you, it’s just incredible. You should see what he’s written, and he comes and talks to us at dinner, and it’s just– it’s awesome what he’s coming up with.
So that’s what a difference it can make when you’re able to step away and get yourself back in the game. I’m JoyGenea, international neurodiversity coach and leadership coach. If you have been thinking about making a shift in your life, I’d love to chat with you. Bye now.
