The Clean Up Your Business Actually Needs; Expiration Dates Are Valuable

Closing out dead work in your business takes time. Turning off old funnels, wrapping up client relationships, moving people on to services that actually serve them, none of that happens by accident.

Here’s the blind spot I see constantly with unconventional leaders: the shiny new thing always wins over the cleanup. You’ll spend hours building what’s next and let what’s already dead sit there, half closed, taking up capacity.

Wrapping up might not be your strength. That is for sure your staff’s strength. Handing off the closing process to your team is leverage, plain and simple. Let someone whose superpower is systems and follow-through handle turning off funnels and gracefully moving clients on to better options.

This is the power of recognizing this might not be your strength, wrapping up these types of things.

And if that’s the case, that’s okay. Then it’s time to ask somebody else to help you do that. It is time to figure out the process for saying, “You know what? We’re no longer doing…
