I’ll say it again, humor is one of the best ways to disarm your limiting beliefs. Laughing at a belief reveals how little sense it makes, and frees you from feeling an obligation to hold yourself back according to it.
What is one limiting belief you are ready to laugh out of your brain?

I had to make a video about this. I was talking to a client this morning. It was incredible what they are doing, I wish I could tell you so much more, not the point. The point is, they had a whole section, an entire team that went rogue, not on purpose, not to be at all um, not to go against anybody in a negative way. They were under-communicated with. They did not get informed on the whole story and they went rogue and built a whole bunch of stuff that wasn’t actually fixing the problem. Does this sound familiar? I hear this quite a bit, actually, from unconventional leaders that, ‘oh my goodness why is my team over there, when I sent them on the trail and wanted them to be over, you know, they’re at X and I sent them to Y.’ I’ll give you a really, really easy hint, the communication wasn’t quite there, and part of the reason the communication probably wasn’t there is unconventional leaders, there have been times and places in your life when somebody has said to you, ‘What are you thinking? Why are you doing that? Oh, that just doesn’t make sense. Are you serious? Wow you lead a company, I don’t oh wow that, I don’t know about that idea.’ Okay, BS. Just trust me, those were their thoughts and ideas. I promise you if you’re leading a company, you got good ideas so stop listening to anybody like that, but every once in a while, you get a member on your team, or every once in a while you start to question yourself, other stuff’s going on the chemistry is off in your brain. I don’t care, hormones, you start to stop believing in yourself and you get a little caught up in some chunky beliefs, some bad beliefs, super common, not a big deal, but you gotta just, you gotta squash those beliefs, in particular the story I was telling you this morning, the belief that was happening, I called a limiting belief, was the fact that they were actually very afraid that if they explained why they wanted their staff to do these things, and what exactly was happening behind the scenes, and what they were really hearing. They were concerned that their staff would feel like a failure and that they would possibly look at them and say, ‘you’re not smart I don’t know. I don’t, I don’t think so. I’m not gonna follow you. Maybe you’re not a good leader.’ Totally not true. I’ve met with some of their staff. Trust me, not true at all. That belief’s gotta be squashed and the easiest fastest way is to shift that belief, and I love to add humor to that, I’ve talked about it before, so if you say what you’re really thinking, ‘They won’t get it, and they might not like you.’ That’s a limiting belief so don’t let the team guess. Don’t let them fill in the story, give them the information that they need, share with them the context, give them the story, and you squash that darn belief. In the comments down below is this incredible, super easy, one-question required. I kid you not one question required. I did not, there are two other optional questions, but only one question is required. Go fill that out. It’s down below. Leave a comment, pass this along to other people, be a great leader. I’m JoyGenea, I’m unconventional leadership coach, and I gotta go. I’m out of time.
