As a different thinker, it is not uncommon to grow up being told who you are and what you are capable of. I am here to remind you not to let that define you and to rediscover how exceptional you are!

What I wish somebody had told me in my 20s, is that all of those tests all of those labels that were applied to me in school, that had them creating systems to help me navigate that environment, what I wish they had explained to me is that they didn’t actually know a whole lot about any of those labels or what they were doing, and that I shouldn’t take any of that too seriously, or live the rest of my life believing some of a lot of the things adults, teachers, and people said to me about me, about what my future was gonna look like. I wish somebody pulled me aside and said, “You know what? People told you who you were, and they didn’t actually see who you were, and so they aren’t right, and you need to go on a quest, and you need to figure out who you are, and then you need to disregard all that gunk that people said, because guess what, they weren’t right and you need to find your way there,” because guess what, I have and it’s amazing, but boy those people were really wrong about the success of my future and the outcome of it and they could be really wrong about yours.
So, you may need to double-check your beliefs and double-check what people have told you about yourself. You might be incredible, and you’ve missed it. I’m JoyGenea, International neurodiversity coach, helping leaders reconnect with that amazingness in them and what causes them to be incredible leaders that they might have lost touch in or are not sure how to grow next. Bye now.
